Natural Soy Candles

The first time you burn your soy candle, please make sure you burn until it melts to the edge of the glass.

This only applies to the first time as it will give an even burn with minimal residue on the glass.

Trim the wick.

Our soy candles use cotton wicks.  After every burn, please ensure to trim the wick to approx 5mm.  This will ensure a long lasting candle, minimise soot and remove any mushrooming of the wick left from the previous burn.  But be sure not to over trim your wick as you may not be able to re-light your candle.

Do not blow out

Extinguish your soy candle by dipping the wick into the melted wax and then straighten.  This will stop the wick smoking and will help with re-lighting the next time.

Recycling the jar

Our candle jars can be recycled and used to keep things like buttons, parper clips, herbs, candies just to name a few.  To recycle, put your jar with the remaining wax in the microwave and let it run for 15-20secs.  Repeat until the wax has melted.  Use a cloth or baking gloves to remove the jar from your microwave as it could be very hot.  Pour the molten wax into an unused cans or milk cartons and throw into your rubbish bin.  Do not pour the wax down the sink as it may clog the pipes when cool.  Wash the jar with warm water and soap.  Decorate your jars with leftover/unused lace or doilies.

IMPORTANT :

Cease burning of soy candle once there is 1cm of wax remaining at the bottom of the jar to prevent the glass from over heating.

Never leave a lit candle unattended or burning near furniture, children, pets, drafts or flammable items.

Do not leave your candle burning for more then four hours at a time.

Do not leave your candle in direct sunlight as it may turn a nasty yellow colour.  It will not affect the candle in any way, it just loses its creamy white colour.

Natural Soy Melts/Essential Oil Soy Melts

Never add water to your soy melts.

Direction :  place 1 soy melt on top of your oil burner and light a tealight candle at the bottom or turn on the power if you are using electric burner.  For smaller burner, cut the melt into quarters or halves.

To remove the wax from your burner, put your burner in a freezer for 5mins.  Ensure the burner has cooled down totally to avoid cracking.  Take it out and push the melt outwards from the edge with your thumb .  You can safe-keep the wax for future use or discard it in your rubbish bin if the scent has exhausted.  Ensure the burner has returned to room temperature before using it again.

IMPORTANT :
Never leave a lit candle/soy melt unattended or burning near furniture, children, pets, drafts or flammable items.
Do not leave unused melts under/near direct sunlight.

Aroma Reed Diffusers

Our Reed Diffusers last for approximately 12 months.  The following tips will be helpful to you in order to continuously enjoy the fresh aroma of the reed diffuser

Flip Sticks for More Scent
If you want to increase the scent, just flip the sticks.  We recommend you flip the reed sticks once every 2 weeks to give it a fragrance boost.  Remember to always flip diffuser reed sticks over a paper towel and to wipe bottle so no oil drips onto your table/surface.

Less Sticks Mean Less Scent
In small spaces, like bathrooms, use less sticks, otherwise the scent throw can be overwhelming.

IMPORTANT :
Never attempt to light diffuser oil directly and always keep away from open flame.
Keep diffuser away from direct sunlight
Do not ingest the oils.
Diffusers contain oils and will stain wood surfaces so always wipe clean the bottom of your bottle before setting on any surface.

Our cushions come in Burlap and cotton.

Burlap (Gunny) are/were (traditionally) made from natural fibers and are considered to be environmentally friendly.  They are non-carcinogenic and non-toxic.  High breathability allows air to pass through them.  Sacks made from jute, hemp and kenaf have high tensile strength.
